2019 Spring Flag Football

 

About: The goal of the spring flag program is to create a safe, fun, inclusive learning environment for K-6th grade athletes to learn game mechanics, get active, practice ball handling skills, and enjoy the game of football. The program is co-ed and will run for six (6) weeks on Sunday mornings from middle/late April to late May. The season is prior to and does not meet on Mother’s day. Players will practice short sets offensive and defensive foundation skills, scrimmage, and learn situational game scenarios. 

Details:

  • Mid-April through May
  • Sunday mornings (less Mother’s Day)
  • K-6th grade (current grade)
  • Co-ed
  • Broken out by age groups (Depending on registration numbers and ages of registrants will have 2 or 3 age groups).
  • No formal games against other teams, towns or leagues

Registration:

  • All registrations must be completed online
  • Player cost - $60.
  • Receive a $25 discount for families with multiple players in the program

Physical Forms:

  • All players are required to have a current physical form on file.
  • Physical forms can be found here
  • The physical form MUST have a doctor’s signature in the current fiscal year.
  • Players WILL NOT BE PERMITTED TO PRACTICE/PLAY until the Physical Form is turned in!
  • Mail forms to SFC, P.O. Box 862, Scarborough, ME 04070 or bring the form with you to the first practice

Required Equipment:

  • Mouth Guard - consider buying a couple inexpensive ones as the players tend to lose/chew them.
  • Water Bottle - put player's name on bottle.
  • Cleats are recommended, but not required.
